| Robins Lose Again, 10-1, to Cornhuskers | Cornhuskers center fielder Eric Farlin put his stamp on his team's 10-1 win over the Bristol Robins. Farlin went 3 for 6 with a triple and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for DeKalb in the contest. The winner was Jim Spracklin, who threw 84 pitches over 5 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 7 hits. Bristol's current losing streak is now 10 games.
It could have been a different outcome for DeKalb, had it not been for Bruce Fleet, the 25-year old shortstop . Fleet contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put DeKalb up, 2-1.
