| Muller Hits 2 home runs in Republic Win | So Cal and Portland met at Waterfront Park in front of a lively crowd.
The So Cal Republic topped the Portland Beavers, 6-1, in Roberto Clemente League action at Waterfront Park. The player of the game was So Cal left fielder Walt Muller. The Republic bumped their record to 27-16 with this latest triumph.
Muller had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Republic went on to win.
Muller told a So Cal Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
