Cornhuskers Jolt Marauders with Late Rally

The DeKalb Cornhuskers topped the Bradenton Marauders by the score of 8-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder John Huot. Huot went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Cornhuskers on the day. Ray Burns was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 23 of 24 save opportunities. DeKalb is now 35-39.

Huot had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Jorge Arellano, he banged a 2-run single to left-center, giving the Cornhuskers a 7-6 lead. It was the 14th hit of the year for Huot.
