| 8 Straight Wins for Shamrocks | Lorenzo Romero left his imprint on the 5-4 Pacifica win against the Silicon Valley Hackers. Romero, who is tied for 7th in the CLL in triples with 3, was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Pacifica reliever Rob Saffioti picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Shayne Cluff shouldered the loss. The Hackers have now dropped 7 straight.
The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from third baseman Mario de Leon. For the game, de Leon went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 37th hit of the season gave Pacifica a 5-4 lead.
"Both teams played hard," said Pacifica manager Pete Barrett.
