| Snaps Come Back Late, Nip Rats | The Cincinnati Snaps defeated the Rock River Rats, 4-3, at The Rat Hole today. Leading the charge for Cincinnati was designated hitter William Nowell. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Snaps bumped their record to 37-36 with this latest triumph.
Nowell had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 2-1 fastball from Marlin Bryan, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Snaps a 4-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Nowell.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Nowell said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
