| Titanic, Glennon Pin Bad Loss on Black Knights | The Belfast Titanic defeated the Brooklyn Black Knights, 12-2, at Blue Ivy Stadium. Dermott Glennon was named player of the game for Belfast. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 double, in addition to the 3 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. Brett Johnson got the win, improving to 3-5. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Belfast now sits at 19-20, while Brooklyn falls to 22-19.
Belfast used the timely hitting of Hyun-hi Oh to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Titanic on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but he made it count.
In comments to the Belfast Times, Oh admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
