| Monarchs Walk Off with 8-7 Win | The Marysville Monarchs topped the Boise Hawks by the score of 8-7, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Frank Wickett. Wickett went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Monarchs on the day. The Monarchs bumped their record to 50-26 with this latest triumph.
Wickett contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Marysville in the bottom of the ninth. With his team trailing 7-4, Wickett took a sinker from Brad Harr and stroked the home run to left-center. His 16th home run of the season allowed the Monarchs to leap in front, 8-7.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Wickett said.
