| Late Rally by Rats Secures Win | The Rock River Rats overcame a good performance by Bradenton left fielder Jeff Fosbrink to knock off Bradenton, 7-3, at The Field at Bradenton. Fosbrink was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Ramón Román picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Jorge Arellano was tagged with the loss. The Rats bumped their record to 37-34 with this latest triumph.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Gilberto Perez came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Bradenton pitcher Mario Michaca, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Rock River on top, 4-3.
