| Spartans Lose, 9-7, at The Clone Army | Takaaki Hirayama had a hand in San Antonio defeating Sandy Springs by the score of 9-7. Hirayama went 3 for 4 at the plate, scoring 1 times and driving in 3 runs. Hidetada Abe picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Manuel Montoya was tagged with the loss. Moises Ramirez, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities.
Hirayama contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for San Antonio in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Hirayama took a fastball from Manuel Montoya and stroked the single to left. His 20th hit of the season allowed the Storm Troopers to leap in front, 2-1.
