| Rams Win at Marysville, 8-7 | The Frisco Rams beat the Marysville Monarchs, 8-7, at Mitts Fieldhouse. Frisco left fielder Seiichiro Kanamori earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-5 with 2 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Kenjiro Masukawa picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Andy Gabbard was tagged with the loss. Luis Navarro, credited with the save, is now 6 for 10 in save opportunities.
Kanamori had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 3-1 sinker from Andy Gabbard, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Rams a 6-5 lead. It was the 16th double of the year for Kanamori.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Will Bartlett.
At 35-37, the Rams find themselves in second place in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League.
