Bristol third baseman Toshihisa Higgins had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Higgins went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs, even as Boise beat the Robins, 7-6. Higgins was named the player of the game despite the loss. Boise reliever Franklin Cadonau was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Dustin Thomas took the loss for Bristol. The Hawks are now 29-42, while the Robins fall to 27-43.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Boise second baseman Curt Mayle, facing Dustin Thomas, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Hawks the 7-6 win.

Mayle said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
