Marauders Roll to 8-3 Win Over Rats

Rock River catcher Nick Dye had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Dye hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice, even as Bradenton beat the Rats, 8-3. Dye was named the player of the game despite the loss. Mario Michaca notched his 10th save in 12 chances. The Marauders raised their record to 28-42.

Manny Huizar had a big run-scoring double for the Marauders in the bottom of the second inning. With Bradenton trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Juan Lara and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Marauders ahead, 2-1.

Huizar called the win "a collective effort."
