| Shamrocks Score Late to Upend Tune-Ups, 4-3 | The Pacifica Shamrocks turned back the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 4-3, at McCormick Field. Jake Polander was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. Billy Boyd was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 14 of 14 save opportunities. The Shamrocks bumped their record to 40-31 with this latest triumph.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when center fielder Jose Salgado, who is tied for 6th in the CLL in RBI with 45, hit a double. The Shamrocks went on to win.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Polander.
