| Hellcats Turn Back Biloxi, 6-4 | The Hellcats grabbed a win, 6-4, at The Sand Dune, overcoming a fine effort from Biloxi pitcher Danny Suarez. Suarez went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Mario Cruz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 21 of 21 save opportunities. The 4th-place Hellcats improved to 31-38.
Jacksonville used the timely hitting of Jeff Dotson to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hellcats on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It's good to win," Dotson told the Jacksonville Chronicle. "I like to have fun doing it."
