| Victory Pushes Vesuvius Record to 37-30 | Cape Verde Vesuvius starter Tommy Pucher was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Silicon Valley Hackers, 3-0. Francisco Morales was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 18 of 19 save opportunities. The Vesuvius bumped their record to 37-30 with this latest triumph.
Had Gary Corbett not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Corbett hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Vesuvius.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Corbett.
