Vesuvius Continue Skid Thanks to Endo, Hackers

Silicon Valley played host to Cape Verde at the friendly confines of San Jose Municipal Stadium.

A 4-RBI performance from the 25-year old third baseman Ietsuna Endo helped the Silicon Valley Hackers beat the Cape Verde Vesuvius, 13-5. Silicon Valley reliever Naotake Nakamura picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. T.J. Sparks was saddled with the loss.

Keijiro Ishii, who is tied for 5th in the CLL in bases on balls with 51, helped out the Silicon Valley cause in the bottom of the first inning with a 2-run triple. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Ishii, "but we could've played better."

The Vesuvius, now 36-30, have lost 5 straight.
