| Shamrocks Prevail, 7-6, Over Youngstown | The Pacifica Shamrocks had to overcome a big game from Youngstown right fielder Brandon Kessler to leave McCormick Field with a 7-6 victory. Kessler was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Billy Boyd converted his 13th save in 13 tries. The Shamrocks bumped their record to 39-31 with this latest triumph.
Mario de Leon aided the Pacifica cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Pacifica manager Pete Barrett.
