| Bombers Get Road Win, 7-0 | South Carolina Bombers starter Phil Taylor pitched a strong game against the Vancouver Pioneers at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, leading the Bombers to a 7-0 win. Taylor, now 3-2, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing no earned runs. South Carolina, at 16-21, sits in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the sixth, with the game tied, Sam Ibarra was at the plate when South Carolina scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Bombers to go in front, 1-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Ibarra told the South Carolina Bulletin.
