| Tune-Ups Win at Pacifica, 11-5 | A nice crowd turned out to see the Youngstown Tune-Ups and Pacifica Shamrocks clash at McCormick Field.
Noah Smith was instrumental in his team's 11-5 triumph over the Pacifica Shamrocks. The second baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Youngstown Tune-Ups. Youngstown now sits at 29-37, while Pacifica falls to 38-31.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the fifth, with the game tied, Mike Ray was at the plate when Youngstown scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Tune-Ups to go in front, 5-4.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Pacifica manager Pete Barrett. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
