| Victory Pushes Rats Record to 34-32 | The Rock River Rats defeated the Long Island Ducks, 8-4. Earning player of the game honors was second baseman Jake Cromar, who went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Marvin Duffy got the win, improving to 4-4. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The win boosts the Rats to 34-32. The loss puts the Ducks at 28-38.
Cromar contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Rock River in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Cromar took a splitter from Bob Ruíz and stroked the double to right-center. His 11th double of the season allowed the Rats to leap in front, 3-2.
