| Late Rally by Marauders Secures Win | The Bradenton Marauders bested the Carson City Mustang by a score of 6-5, with center fielder Larry Collier getting the main credit. On the day, Collier was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Marauders. Bradenton reliever Jorge Arellano was credited with the win, to go to 3-2. Matt Stevenson took the loss for Carson City. The last-place Marauders improved to 27-37.
Collier had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Matt Stevenson, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Marauders a 6-5 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Collier.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Collier.
