| Shamrocks Get Close Win Over Beetlecats | The Pacifica Shamrocks topped the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats, 4-1, in Cory Lidle League action at Bloomfield Road. The player of the game was Pacifica pitcher and Matsusaka, Japan native Yoichibei Omura. Omura, now 5-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. Billy Boyd was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 11 save opportunities.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when third baseman Miguel Guajardo, who is tied for 5th in the CLL in runs scored with 38, drew a walk. The Shamrocks went on to win.
