Blossom Powers Wolverines to 8-4 Win

The Wichita Wolverines knocked off the Bradenton Marauders, 8-4, at Howling Park. Ryan Blossom, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Wichita won. The left fielder went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Wolverines bumped their record to 34-28 with this latest triumph.

Danny Salazar hit a 2-run double off Dean Archer in the bottom of the second, which put the Wolverines in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Salazar had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Blossom told the Wichita Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
