| Tight Tilt Goes to Beetlecats, 2-1 | Pacifica wasted a solid 6-inning effort from starting pitcher Dedrick Savage, losing to Buzzard's Bay, 2-1, at Bloomfield Road. Buzzard's Bay reliever Tessfalfe Mwinyimadi picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Dedrick Savage took the loss. Justin Keling nailed down his 11th save.
The Beetlecats got a big at-bat from second baseman Octavio Borges. For the game, Borges went 1 for 2 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 47th hit of the season gave Buzzard's Bay a 2-1 lead.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Borges told the Buzzard's Bay Today.
Buzzard's Bay now sits at 27-31, while Pacifica falls to 35-27.
