| Beavers Turn Back Seattle, 4-2 | The Portland Beavers got a stellar effort from pitcher Elias Ortiz, helping Portland score a 4-2 win over the visiting Seattle Sasquatch. Ortiz, now 5-2, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. The Beavers bumped their record to 25-14 with this latest triumph.
Phil Kinch, who is tied for 7th in the RCL in runs scored with 26, aided the Portland cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman was 3-3 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
