| Rockhounds Get Road Win, 2-1 | The Midland Rockhounds racked up a win at The Death Star, bumping off the Georgia Grays, 2-1. Tony López, who started for Midland, pitched effectively for his team. Pete Tupper got the save, the 2nd for him this season. The win gives the Rockhounds a record of 2-2.
The Rockhounds got a big at-bat from shortstop Kaiji Nagata. For the game, Nagata went 1-4. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 5th hit of the season gave Midland a 2-1 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Nagata told the Midland Bulletin.
