| Ducks Rally For Late Win Over Black Bears | In a tight game between the Long Island Ducks and the Fraser Valley Black Bears, pitcher Francisco Perez was terrific on the mound. The Long Island right-hander was named the player of the game in Long Island's 3-1 win. Today's win puts Long Island at 25-34, while Fraser Valley falls to 37-22.
The Ducks got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Jamie Drum. For the game, Drum was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Long Island a 3-1 lead.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Drum said.
