Cape Verde first baseman Josh Maillard went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 to earn player of the game honors. The win was credited to Danny Morales in relief. His record improves to 5-0. Yoichibei Omura took the loss. The Vesuvius now own a record of 35-24.
Yeong-il Choy aided the Cape Verde cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
