| Texans Topple Rhinos with Late Rally | The Dallas Texans faced a tough opponent in Rubber City pitcher Mike Sapienza, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Rubber Grounds by a final score of 4-3. Sapienza went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Tomio Nakahara got credit for the win, improving to 1-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The slumping Rhinos have lost 7 straight.
The Texans got a big at-bat from third baseman Jerry Schnoor. For the game, Schnoor was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the eighth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Dallas a 4-3 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Schnoor.
