| Red Bulls Come Up Short at Youngstown | Youngstown Tune-Ups starter Larry Sceviour turned in a sterling performance against the Riverside Red Bulls, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Dave Dyke converted his 15th save in 19 tries. Today's win puts Youngstown at 25-32, while Riverside falls to 33-26.
The Tune-Ups got a big at-bat from first baseman Nick Ashburn. For the game, Ashburn was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Youngstown a 3-1 lead.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Sceviour told the Youngstown Bulletin. "You win just by scoring more runs."
