| Black Bears Get Close Win Over Ducks | Long Island third baseman Hyung-hwa Choi had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Fraser Valley at The Stetson Bowl. Choi went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Fraser Valley reliever Wei-sng Mak picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Takamasa Oki shouldered the loss. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for the Black Bears.
Tooru Miyahira chipped in for Fraser Valley with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
