Black Bears Bang Out 7-6 Win Versus Spokane

The inspired effort of Spokane center fielder Frank Keddy was not enough to prevent a 7-6 loss to the Fraser Valley Black Bears. Keddy was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Fraser Valley reliever Brian Gunter picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Tomas Romirez took the loss. Fraser Valley has now won 5 straight.

Jorge Sandoval drove in one run for Fraser Valley. The 29-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tomas Romirez. It was his 33rd RBI of the season.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Sandoval told the Fraser Valley Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
