The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats got a stellar effort from pitcher Carlos Garcia, helping Buzzard's Bay score a 13-2 win over the visiting Bristol Robins. The win boosts the Beetlecats to 24-29. The loss puts the Robins at 23-33.

Tony Gómez aided the Buzzard's Bay cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop was 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Gómez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
