| Black Bears Win at DeKalb, 6-3 | Fraser Valley second baseman Brian Schaefer was instrumental in his team's 6-3 win over the DeKalb Cornhuskers. Schaefer went 2-5 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Black Bears. Angel Ponce, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. Wei-sng Mak was called on to finish, recording his 11th save.
Schaefer had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning, when he hit a bases-clearing triple. The Black Bears went on to win.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Schaefer said.
The losing streak for DeKalb has now reached 4 games.
