| Big Day with Bat: Luzuriaga 5-for-5 | Jorge Luzuriaga knows as well as anyone that in baseball, the biggest contracts go to the biggest hitters. At The Hive today, he made his case to be considered among that group.
The 26-year-old second baseman hammered 5 hits in 5 chances, though the remarkable effort came even as his Cincinnati Snaps fell, 8-3, to the Madison Beehive.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," Beehive manager Kiyomori Shimizu told BNN sportswriters after the game. "Thankfully, we were able to do enough elsewhere that Luzuriaga wasn't the difference."
Jorge Luzuriaga doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.\n
Hitting .228 to date, Luzuriaga has 3 home runs and 20 RBIs. He has played in 49 games. |
