| Rats Continue Skid Thanks to Medina, Spartans | It was a fun time at The Coliseum, where the Rock River Rats and Sandy Springs Spartans tangled.
Johnny Medina added some punch to the Sandy Springs offense, helping them outmuscle the Rock River Rats, 10-7. In the game, Medina was 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Sandy Springs reliever Miguel Padilla was the winner. His record is now 2-2. Mike Allamon took the loss. Pat Glaze earned save number 3.
The Spartans got a big at-bat from left fielder Andrew Taylor. For the game, Taylor went 3-5 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 66th hit of the season gave Sandy Springs a 7-6 lead.
