Frisco starter Perry Maniscalco pitched effectively against the Boise Hawks at Basque Block Field. The right-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Frisco goes to 26-29, Boise to 21-33.

Benny Lipke, who is tied for 10th in the CLL with a .313 batting average, aided the Frisco cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Lipke told the Frisco Gazette.
