In a close game at McCormick Field, the Long Island Ducks edged the Pacifica Shamrocks, 4-3. Long Island center fielder Peter Wright earned the nod as player of the game. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Long Island reliever Josh Huntsman got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Rob Saffioti was tagged with the loss. Takamasa Oki finished the game for Long Island and earned his 6th save.

Carlos Romero, who leads the RHL in doubles with 16, helped out the Long Island cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 3.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Romero. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
