| Monarchs Prevail, 6-4, Over Cincinnati | Starting pitcher Javy Alvarado pitched well enough to help the Marysville Monarchs beat the Cincinnati Snaps by the score of 6-4. Orlando Rivas earned the save, his 4th. The Monarchs bumped their record to 33-20 with this latest triumph.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the ninth inning, but Orlando Rivas didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Cincinnati trailing 6-4, Rivas retired Aaron Washington to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Rivas, with a wink.
