| Big Day by Salgado Ignites Shamrocks Win | Pacifica played host to Long Island at the friendly confines of McCormick Field.
The Pacifica Shamrocks beat the Long Island Ducks, 7-4, at McCormick Field. Pacifica center fielder Jose Salgado earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Luis Santana got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 6 innings.
Salgado had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Shamrocks went on to win.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Salgado said after the game.
Pacifica is 30-21 and Long Island, with the loss, 19-29.
