| Cornhuskers Get Win, Extend Streak to 5 | Ryosaku Nishimura was the difference-maker for the DeKalb Cornhuskers in what turned into a shootout with the Frisco Rams. Nishimura earned the player of the game award after going 3-for-5 in the 10-9 Cornhuskers win. George Fawns, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3.2 innings. Frisco has now lost 6 consecutive games.
The Cornhuskers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Hiyutaro Ushijima. For the game, Ushijima went 1-5. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 15th hit of the season gave DeKalb a 10-8 lead.
