| Monarchs Sneak Past Snaps, 3-2 | Marysville Monarchs starter Xavier Pearson turned in an exceptional performance against the Cincinnati Snaps at Mitts Fieldhouse, resulting in a Marysville win, 3-2. Orlando Rivas, credited with the win, is now 5-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The first-place Monarchs have a one-game lead in their division.
The Monarchs got a big at-bat from shortstop Diego Colón. For the game, Colón went 2-4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 5th hit of the season gave Marysville a 3-2 lead.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Pearson said.
