| Tune-Ups Nip Storm Troopers, 3-2 | The San Antonio Storm Troopers went down to defeat to Paul Beloin and his Youngstown teammates. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Tune-Ups. Beloin picked up the win for Youngstown, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Dave Dyke recorded the save for Youngstown, his 12th of the season.
The Tune-Ups used some clutch hitting to beat the Storm Troopers, a good example being the at-bat of Seiju Takahashi in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, Takahashi gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he hit a 2-run double.
After the game, Youngstown manager Michael McCarthy applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The Tune-Ups improved to 22-26.
