| Beetlecats Win at Fraser Valley, 4-2 | The Beetlecats had to overcome a good performance from Fraser Valley pitcher Steve Pickering to claim a 4-2 win at The Stetson Bowl. Pickering went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Justin Keling closed the game out for Buzzard's Bay, earning his 7th save. The Beetlecats improved to 20-27.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman C.J. Devers came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Fraser Valley pitcher Ricardo Betancourt, he hit a full count cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Buzzard's Bay on top, 3-2.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Devers told the Buzzard's Bay Today.
