| Black Bears Prevail, 6-4, Over Buzzard's Bay | Fraser Valley rode a decent outing from starter Carlos Delgado to victory over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats at The Stetson Bowl. The final score was 6-4. Wei-sng Mak earned the save for Fraser Valley, his 9th of the year. The second-place Black Bears lifted their record to 27-19.
Had Tooru Miyahira not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Miyahira hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Black Bears.
"It's a mindset," said Delgado. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
