| Shamrocks Raise Rally Flag, Beat Sandy Springs, 9-4 | The Pacifica Shamrocks defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 9-4, at The Coliseum today. Leading the charge for Pacifica was shortstop Simon April. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Shamrocks move to 29-19 with the win, while the Spartans drop to 19-26.
Had Jose Salgado not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Salgado hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 6-3, in favor of the Shamrocks.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Salgado.
