Spokane catcher Bobby Bell was a significant contributor in his team's 6-2 triumph over the Cape Verde Vesuvius. He went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Spokane. The Bulldogs bumped their record to 27-19 with this latest triumph.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Bell, who leads the RHL with a .657 slugging percentage, hit a grand slam home run. It propelled the Bulldogs into the lead, 5-1.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Bell told reporters after the game.
