| Spartans Stun Shamrocks, 2-1 | Pacifica got a terrific performance from pitcher Chang-se Kim, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sandy Springs Spartans. Sandy Springs won the The Coliseum contest, 2-1. Kim was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Sandy Springs reliever Kyung-hwan Ho picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Dario Reyes took the loss. With the victory, the Spartans record now stands at 19-25.
Had Naoto Kajiwara not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Kajiwara hit a 2-run single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Spartans.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Kajiwara told the Sandy Springs Chronicle.
