Victory Pushes Vesuvius Record to 29-17

Spirited fans at The Kennel greeted the Spokane Bulldogs for their clash with the Cape Verde Vesuvius.

Cape Verde designated hitter Yeong-il Choy was instrumental in his team's 9-3 win over the Spokane Bulldogs. Choy went 3-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Vesuvius. The Vesuvius own a robust 29-17 mark.

Choy contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for Cape Verde in the top of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, Choy took a splitter from Andy Bowersox and stroked the single to right. His 24th hit of the season allowed the Vesuvius to leap in front, 4-3.

"We came out aggressive," said Vesuvius manager Eduardo Flores. "We came out swinging the bats."
