| Hellcats Score Late to Upend Hackers, 10-7 | The Jacksonville Hellcats topped the Silicon Valley Hackers, 10-7, with center fielder Pablo Viruet playing a big role. Viruet went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Hellcats in the win. Joost Evers picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-3. Guo-xiu Du was tagged with the loss. Mario Cruz, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 12th save.
Kuniaki Tanaka was 2-4 with a double for Jacksonville. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Guo-xiu Du. It was his 26th RBI of the season.
"We came out aggressive," said Hellcats manager Ben McBean. "We came out swinging the bats."
The Hellcats, at 17-28, sit in 5th place in the Cory Lidle League Lou Piniella League.
